Assassinated: A Hitman Clone Way Off Target.
Who Will Enjoy It : Those who appreciate the framework for a game similar to HITMAN. Who Won't Enjoy It : Those who don't want to play a broken version of HITMAN. As a fan of stealth action games, I was immediately drawn to the screenshots of Wetwork. And as someone whe endured the rough edges of the original Codename: 47 on PC, I can easily say that this was one passion project I welcomed with open arms. The question is: Is this an enjoyable game? In it's current state, I would definitely say no. Despite it borrowing many of the best elements of HITMAN (multiple ways to kill your target, pre-mission loadout selection, and dynamic objectives), this Early Access build is seriously lacking in content (which the developer plans to address) and optimization. At best, the game was running at 35 FPS on Low Settings when little to nothing was happening. At worst, when action ramped up, I was achieving around 12 FPS....

About This Game
The protagonist is an assassin and their objective is to eliminate their target as silently and cleanly as possible. They have many tools at their disposal - CQC, pistols, smgs, assault rifles, sniper rifles, explosives and the like. It's also possible to take enemy's clothing to impersonate them and infiltrate restricted areas.
The game is open ended and and its missions can be completed in many different ways.
Intelligence agencies don't usually arbitrarily restrict the available weapons so all of them are available to the player.
There are no "best weapons" that can be unlocked.
Currently available weapons:
- Poison and sedative syringes
- Combat knife
- 5 handguns
- 3 SMGs
- 6 Rifles
- 2 Shotguns
- Minigun
- 4 Sniper rifles
- 8 types of explosives
The weapon list is quite big, but both missions can be completed without taking any weapons with you. (And this is the only way to get the best rating)
Currently available missions:
Training Level - Kārlis Ulmanis Memorial Park.
A small urban area with a park at its centre. Introduces the player to various weapons and gameplay mechanics. Can be beaten in about 2 minutes. This is also available in the free demo.
Mission 1 - Ventspils.
A bit bigger rural area near the Baltic Sea. The main objective is to infiltrate a corrupt politician's mansion and take him out. No hand holding this time.
The game is set in 2030s and takes place in Latvia.

I really want to recommend this game, but I just can’t. Wetwork is a fun, Hitman-esque, stealth, assassin game. It gives its own spin on the Hitman gameplay formula by adding features such as the ability to jump, go into a first-person perspective, and play as either a male or female assassin. I enjoyed my time with the game, but in its current early access state, it’s pretty rough. With only two currently playable levels, the game offers less than two hours of real playtime for its $11.49 CAD price tag, which in my opinion is pretty steep. The combat is quite unbalanced, causing a detection by guards to almost always lead to an immediate death and mission failure. Wetwork suffers from infuriatingly long load times of upwards to three minutes and does not allow the player to save any progress so missions must always be restarted from the beginning. I think that Wetwork has a lot of potential, but in its current state I cannot recommend that you buy it. Maybe try the free demo if...
There Are Worse Games
I Think

At the moment there are 2 missions (training and mission 1) and S++ ranking both with also experimenting with the mechanincs and exploring the maps took me about 1.5h so the content to price ratio isn't the best but if your a fan of stealth games and especially Hitman then this might be a worthy buy. The combat AI and framerate while in combat are probably the biggest issues at the moment but both can be prevented by restarting after detection. Besides those 2 only frustrating thing was how the AI sees you if you are at higer elevation than them but there are are routes you can take to avoid this too. I'm more into MGS/SC style stealth to Hitman so I didn't try the disguise system but I also didn't feel like I needed to use it to progress at any time so while quite rough around the edges if you like stealth game you'll probably find this game to be a pretty enjoyable but short experience.
It's barely functional
fucking sucks game fucking broken everything is broken cops saying blyat what the fuck man nah uh
garbage
