Cannot recommend a purchase at this time. Devs are on vavcation til the new year. the idea for this game was ambitious but realistic, however the developers made comments after every single update that they were exhausted, shattered, drained, etc...yes game dev is hard work, but if such a low stakes product is destroying your soul, maybe it's not the right career for you.

About This Game
At its core Mind the Vikings wants to be a thematic, strategic and personal take on the city building genre. Games like these often focus on grandeur and numbers. Mind the Vikings wants to turn that on its head and let you in closer. Get to know your citizens personally, learn the nooks and crannies of the settlement and make you think twice before starting a feud.
Ultimately though, I'm a solo developer and my time is severely limited. In order to reach this vision i need your help:
Your feedback is crucial:
As a solo developer my time is occupied mostly with finding bugs and play testing. As a player you can help me save enormous amounts of time simply by giving me feedback and reporting bugs. I want this vision to be a reality, and to be a journey for all of us, so please, join us on our discord! (links in blog posts)

It is off to a good start but is content light at the moment. I think there are the foundations of a good game here. I would wait to purchase until it has deployed some more of the planned content. https://youtu.be/SLjbj4QMuvQ
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, apparently the dev's "needed a break" and are now MIA.
An interesting little game with good potential. Rough around the edges with not a lot of meat on the bones - but good bones to build a game on. This game needs a lot more time in the oven, but could turn into something pretty fun, The camera motion, especially the rotation isn't to my taste. Would like to be able to rotate with the mouse. Also rotating around a point ahead of the camera would feel better (to me) then spinning on the camera's vertical axis. The rotation gave me a headache in the same way FPS games can. The art style is nice, but the mix of low poly and textured is a bit odd. The UI style is also mix and matched. Some hand painted some not. Pick coherent styles and the game will look and feel better. Dragging and dropping the people onto their jobs is a clever and a new (to me) mechanic. However it was hard to know when the people were hovering over the object. A little more visual and or audio feedback would help with that. Also the person getting pulled around stay...
BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. The developer just now returned, after almost two years of silence. Not a single word from anyone at Miso Games about if and when they would come back. Nothing. Not a single apology given by the developer upon the return, just a bunch of whining about people being negative about a game that was for all intents and purposes abandoned immediately after the initial launch. Were you really expecting us to cheer for your return after this abysmal treatment of your customers? The game itself is a big fat bunch of "MEH". With a poor interface, bad optimisation, missing options, and the list goes on. Some annoyances after just 5 minutes in the game include: No volume control. Completely randomly functioning music volume control. Interface elements overlapping each other, rendering the escape\quit option impossible A general clunky feel of the entire thing. This is NOT a product you want in your collection. I'd say "At this time", but I fully be...
Tons of promise, but currently abandonware. They've not updated in nearly a year, saying they needed a long vacation. Hopefully they come back soon and finish the gamem
ITS DEAD!
update jan 2021:this game was quite interessting and had good armosphere, but was abandoned. 1 of the devs returned to this project "with a vengeance". only to destroy all cool aspects of the old game. not shure if he knows what he is doing. anyways, its probably abandoned again. no update since his comeback. he blames corona. this game should go for free , since its just an experimental mess right now.
another early access fail dev team. FU
Very likable game, still lacking, but early access.. Needs animal life, fishing, lakes and ponds, tool makers, pigs, sheep, cattle . could go on.. but i am def. gonna keep playing and hoping for more :-D
