Crimson Connect Origin

This game is genuinely fantastic, but the devs just announced they're dropping support after the very first update? I'm not sure if I should be more disappointed that this unique indie title is going to be left with untapped potential, or that the developers used early access as a misleading method for releasing an incomplete game they didn't intend on finishing. Really sucks to give this a thumbs down, it's a really really fun game.

[EDIT TO THE REVIEW, CHANGING FROM THUMBS UP TO THUMBS DOWN] Everything I said in the original review is still valid, but I am changing my review and warning any potential buyers to stay away - after barely a week in early access the developers are pulling the plug. Apparently the game that just arrived on early access, without any marketing or any updates or effort isn't making enough money. Seems like a scam. This is a crying shame as this game is fantastic. [end edit] This is one of the easiest recommendations for me to make in ages. This game does exactly what it sets out to do, does it perfectly and for a bargain price. Its a mashup of tower defence, city builder, vampire survivors, they are billions and RPG with persistent upgrades and increasing difficulty that I didn't know I needed. The game is split up into two stages, battle phase and construction phase. Battle phase is exactly as it sounds, hordes of monsters attack from every direction with the intention of destro...

[EDIT] Devs dropped the game immediately after release, sketchy behavior. I imagine they didn't even entirely read the "Early Access TOS".... Real shame cause it is a cool idea with potential. --- Wow, this game caught me off guard. Very cool (and as far as I know) unique idea. It is many games packed into one, the actual gameplay is like a MOBA-RTS Tower Defense, but there is also a bit of roguelite elements. There is still a good bit of strategy and managing to do as well.

***Abandoned by devs less than 2 weeks after release*** The game has serious promise and what's available is rather good. Unfortunately, being abandoned in less than 2 weeks screams scam. And speculation on my part, but it looks like the game assets were stolen from another game.

A really nice roguelike, still need a couple more of updates, but it has ok amount of content, the units do have some good amount of varied uses.

A simple game on the surface but is engaging and can be pretty addictive. Now it just needs to update itself naturally with new content and that Modding feature labelled as -Coming Soon-, and this will become a really good game. Looking forward to it.

This game stopped being worked on months ago. If you are reading this any time after October 2023 and it is still listed as an Early Access game DO NOT BUY. It will never be finished. The developer has abandoned the game.

Fun game, would love to see more content such as basic walls and turrets, and more fleshed out base building. Cute art style, hopefully devs continue to expand on the game.

The characters don't attack at all, and most of the times just don't use their skills. As of now, unplayable.
