Honestly, I'm torn on how I feel about this game. On the one hand, it's $5. On the other hand there are so, so many things I wish were better. + Great aesthetic + Radio stations have that classic GTA vibe + Interesting setting + Solid story missions - Vehicle handing : No weight, bouncy collision, horrible turning radius on everything. I really can't overstate how weird it is, to the point where I'd argue the original GTA/GTA 2 have far superior driving despite being 20+ years old - Enemies are basically Terminators (feels hitscan-y) and swarm you at the slightest provocation, which would be fine if not for - Your character might as well be made of glass, death comes almost instantly if you're facing more than one enemy (armor helps block a few shots but you still get shredded if you're up against more than a handful of enemies at close to medium range) Same goes for vehicles, if you have any sort of wanted level expect swarms of cops to immediately light your car up to the point of...

As the total GTA1 (and kind of GTAclassic-games) nerd I am going to say - I fell in love with this one. This game feels a lot like GTA game, I'd say it is a GTA game. Classic top-down action, chaps. Do missions, earn money, become a rich criminal and own the city. Highly detailed but extremely short game (main story consists of 10 missions). Total Anarchy is way easier than GTA1/2, it's more like GTA: London 1969, so if you want to try this rare genre - that's a good way to begin with. I even made some speedruns here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajw9T82zu2Y I'd love to hear about the sequel)
hey it's like gta 2 it's nice
Well I remember when this game was a twinkle in the devs eyes, and I first seen some vid of it 2009 ?? And to think the dev has kept the game going all these years - just shows the love and drive he had to make it. I'll be honest I thought why a GTA 1 style game was not worth it - Oh but I was wrong!! It the best of GTA and a drop of hotline miami and it's own je ne sais quoi.. Which ends up being this fun, fast paced drive around killing and doing missions to progress through the game and story.. I've played a couple of hours and for the £3.99 I paid, I think you'd be mad not to get it for the trip down GTA lane with a twist.. Oh yeah the radio ch's and adverts had me roaring with laughter !! Even if you just get it for them - you'll be happy.. Great game,Well done 2d GFX with a 3d effect and great sound.. A BARGIN and great to play !!
Upon release, I was one that bought the game full release, having played the free unfinished release a bit as I had mixed opinions about the driving, and seems, it did improve a bit, but one thing I am sad that got changed, no optional branching dialogue choices but, maybe that was unneeded, probably. Would have been a neat bonus if it made it to the paid release. The driving didn't change much - on keyboard, it did improve a bit, but depends of the vehicle really, the engine didn't translate well for it, which is unfortunate. But as for the gameplay, for the low price of 10 Reais, or probably 5 US Dollars, is the price justifiable? Let's get to that. I was one of the unfortunate souls and a few that even if we were good at the game, it needed fixes because after passing a mission, the game would soft lock, letting us to think we broke the game, but small updates were released, including 2022.8, which actually allows you to actually finish the game, so I have done so tonight. And hav...
When I was in elementary school, my friend at the time gave me a GBA cartridge he got from his older brother. And thank god our parents or teachers never found out, because we would have been in so much trouble. On that damn thing was a game called GTA Advance, and it blew our 10 year old minds away. So of course, when I found this game it really, really caught my eye. They don't make games like these anymore. So I cracked a cold one and got ready to immerse myself in nostalgia. But oh boy, what a disappointing experience I got. Immediately upon starting the game I got met by a wall of noise. As a headphone user, this is annyoing, but no deal breaker, even if the sound settings aren't persistent and you have to change them every time you start the game. Furthermore I noticed the graphics seemed pretty washed out and blurred, to the point where most of the smaller text is nearly unreadable (maybe this is because I play on a UWQHD monitor, I don't know. But with the limited settings th...
Perfect for GTA fans! Sadly the main story is too short! Also, there are not so much activities, no side missions except for the ridiculously difficult/repetitive phone call. Total Anarchy can become a jewel. It needs more map space (or more maps) and other activites!
Game crashes every time I opened it. Getting in cars, getting in buildings, etc. Can't experience anything of it. So far the controls are really cumbersome. Weak animations. Low tier game made by Game Maker on an afternoon. Don't buy!
A decent attempt at recreating the look of GTA 2 but didnt got the feel just right. The driving is weird and very floaty, which isnt great considering that's what you will be doing most of the time. The shooting is at least fun, with a great variety in weapons. The game is very short, so it doesnt overstay its welcome and cheap, so i would say it's still worth a try. +enterable buildings +fun missions +radio reminiscent of gta games +interesting artstyle -forgetable story -uninteresting city -bad enemy and civilian AI
yes is really good bit like gta 2
