It's a short and fun game with a story that you piece together from the letters you find. Make sure to do a second playthrough to find Mr. Octopus in every level for a fun surprise. (Hint, for Level 2, Mr. Octopus is scared of the Wolf)
This is not bad, You really didn't need a long tunnel though, something along the last tunnel to break up or more speed potions. Overall not bad though. I did buy this game to gauge inspiration for being at a similar level developer.
Back then I had to pay for this game and even though it was cheap I don't think that was worth it. The game consists of 5 levels where you mostly just walk in a straight line where barely something happens. Especially level 5 is awful, because it's so long and boring. Now the game is free, so maybe try it. Still don't think it's worth it.
I really loved finding the cute octopus at the end. It's so charming cute!!!!! <3 And the notes in every stage were very well written, I almost felt like I was reading a novel. The werewolf was indeed too spooky... (be careful for your heart attack lol). I was surprised how long the tunnel is!
The voice acting is a little rough in places, but overall it's a fun way to eat up a few hours of your time. The Unity engine is reminiscent of a lot of mobile horror games I used to play 5 or 6 years ago, and that was pretty nostalgic for me. Either way, it seems like the dev is relatively new to game development and if that's the case they've got a great start.
This is one of the better indie Unity games I have played. It was pretty fun and the concept was unique. I had a little issue with not being able to exit reading a few of the notes, but I was able to eventually get past them. Here's a video I made of a play through of the first stage I also gave some more thoughts on the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otI9KXGyi98
Pretty good game. There weren't any scares really but the story and the way it is told is so interesting that it keeps you playing till the end. For the price I would for sure recommend you check it out. If you want to see some game play you can check out my video below. https://youtu.be/BBhHxTgZRws
So...you can't move when you see the light and hear the train whistle in the tunnel, or the werewolf coming at you. Literally, no controls work. Prior to that, you're picking up notes talking about alchemy and transmutation, while walking down a seemingly endless train track. That's it. What a disappointment.
This game was actually more fun than I had anticipated! 100% in a little over an hour. (Requires two playthroughs.)
