As a former Minesweeper aficionado, I find that this game offers a fun, fresh twist to a game I truly love. I find myself hitting walls of mines or barriers that forces me to backtrack and approach things from a different angle. It adds a fun challenge and even though it seems to be more difficult than the classic game, the power-ups and extra lives make the game a lot more forgiving. The time limit also adds some excitement to the game. I spent a bit too much time clearing out a level and I had to throw my brain into the next gear to make sure I didn't run out of time before I reached the end. I never thought minesweeper could be exciting, but this game is a fun, cool variation that I really enjoy. Pricing is very reasonable as well. Very satisfied with my purchase!

A unique take on a beloved classic. I like the new challenge that Minforiga provides to the idea of minesweeper, by only allowing you to clear areas that your character can reach. You are also provided with a new set of tools, various gems that can be utilized to get out of unsolvable spots or speed up your progress. The music and art provide a soothing atmosphere that, when coupled with the addictive nature of the game, make it easy to lose hours at a time trying to beat previous high scores. The game is true to it's spiritual predecessor while also existing as something unique and beautiful. Absolutely worth the 5 dollars.

Why should you play this game instead of vanilla minesweeper? Well, you shouldn't. Although there are three "spells" which help you solve the dead ends which require random guessing, in every other aspect, this is inferior to MS. In particular, you have to walk around to uncover tiles, even though you can mark them from anywhere visible on the screen. The main consequence is that you can uncover tiles which you cannot walk to (because you can mine diagonally, but not walk through diagonal gaps). So it's strictly more difficult than MS, without really providing the kinds of RPG or additional flavor which justifies this handicap. Microsoft Minesweeper is better in every way.
