About This Game

A delightful balance between Agatha Christie mystery and J.R.R Tolkien's Shire. Letter Vetter changes pace with a soothing and human entry in the classically fast-paced medium of video games. Pop on your trenchcoat, grab your notebook and unleash your detective skills to protect this small community in the English countryside.

Key Features:

  • Beautiful handcrafted Real-artwork
  • Hundreds of unique letters, envelopes and stamps
  • An immersive collection of characters and stories to get lost in
  • Challenging mystery solving, secret messages and detective work
  • Set in the enchanting English countryside
  • Satisfying to solve both single-handedly, or with a group of friends and family

Use your sixth sense and a detective's eye to go over the daily mail arriving at your desk each day. Scan for anything that doesn't fit and forward these letters to L for feedback the following day. Search for any secret messages to solve the mystery of who may not belong...

At long last.. L has decided you are ready for the field. You will take part in a countrywide effort to rid England of war criminals. A network of rogue agents are known to be lurking somewhere in her borders and they need to be found. Take responsibility for the small village of Pipshire, one of several countryside communities strongly suspected of enemy infiltration. During your season in Pipshire your service to Crown and Country will be to uncover any imposters operating there.

This game is so peaceful - the music and beautiful sound effects, plus the lovely countryside scenery, make me feel immersed in Pipshire. Each day there's a stack of letters to read through, and these can contain anything from poetry excerpts to hilarious bickering between residents, the added detective layer makes for a game that's hard to put down!!

This game has been a great discovery for me. It is the ideal game to play if you want to relax and enjoy a peaceful hour or two. I would describe it as an artistic, slow moving game with a lot to appreciate. You are accompanied by beautiful scenes and music and one thing I really do love about this one is that there is great subtlety in the letters themselves. The detective style makes it a rewarding experience and it works particularly well to play collaboratively. In terms of the technical side of the game, I enjoy how the controls are really simple, there is even a menu you can click on throughout in case you forget. I would recommend this game to any ages from age 10 upwards. It is not fast moving or loud/scary and is a good game for the family. I think it is necessary to point out that to get the most out of this game you really have to delve into the letters and have fun with the characterisation. If anyone is curious as to what you do, you are basically trying to determine som...

I've never played anything like this before! It has so many different parts to the puzzle and leaves you on your own more than I expected which I think is actually really satisfying and engaging to work through. Being both stimulating and calming I feel I can play it any time of the day and similarly it would appeal to all ages. It's handmade artwork and graphics makes the fantasy land of Pipshire come alive. Finally, it has all the thrill and immersion of a whodunnit combined with the calm that life can lack - I would definitely recommend this game.

This is the first time I have felt compelled to review a game. I loved the artwork, the music and the beautiful photography and visuals which all added to the nostalgic feel. The content is brilliantly conceived and executed with layers and layers to interest, entertain and grip you and you will not want to leave the game. It is simple to play with intuitive controls but keeps your interest throughout. The English countryside is evoked brilliantly with the enormous variety of characters and plots. I have enjoyed playing it alone and with my family and recommend this to all ages.

easy to play, easy time passer, refreshing and just quite pleasant to play. Doesnt disturb others with obnoxious noise which is great for lockdown and isolation- the birdsong is really quite lovely!

I really enjoyed playing this game. It seems the perfect antidote to lock down. I found it calm yet engaging. I brought other members of my household in and it became quite social as everyone seems to suspect someone different. I would happily recommend this to all age groups. A real pleasure.

Pros: the scenery looks nice. Cons: unrewarding and miserable. There's zero useful feedback on what you're supposed to be looking for when you're vetting letters or whether you're on the right track. I got through around 50 letters and none seemed suspicious or noteworthy at all. I'm running basic cryptanalysis, I'm looking for any signs of a cypher or code, unusual capitals, unusual numbers or verb placement, literally nothing seems suspicious. So I randomly send on letters to my boss and get the most useless feedback like "hmm, I think you're onto something with this one" but I can't then review the letter and have no idea which letter flagged the feedback. Your character intercepts letters based on King Lear. A businessman's evil family members are giving him ridiculously gushy praise. In the play this ends with them stealing his kingdom and him going completely nutters and singing buck naked in the rain to a clown. Being a postal inspector with literally nothing more pressin...

Great game, highly recommend! Love the choice in music, meant it could be relaxing while playing. I played with a couple a friends so this game can work socially too. Had a great balance for not revealing information too quickly but still enough to grip you. Very satisfying when you're starting to make some ground with your suspicions. We played the game continuously but definitely a game where you can break it up if you want! Overall, enjoyed.
