"Hi there, my name is Lily! I've been waiting so long for this day to finally go and be reunited with my brother and parents in the sacred lands. I've finally come of age where I can go on the pilgrimage to join them. Elder sure is throwing me for a loop though with these trials to prepare me for my journey. Here I am thinking it would be a spiritual journey to find peace now that I'm of age, but the first thing he has me do is start fighting things?

Well, Elder has been raising me and my brother our whole lives, as well as looking after the others in my village before they left. It's been 25 years, no reason to start doubting him now. Time to go find my family!"

Beatitas feels a bit different then your typical turn based RPG. If you are looking for the JRPG grind then this game is probably not for you. This game focuses way more on finding and abusing the enemies weakness rather then just getting bigger numbers to beat them. Honestly it was a refreshing change of pace. During the first 20 minutes or so, the plot starts somewhat generic(by design I think?) but quickly spirals into an unexpected direction. Character interactions are priceless and even had me laughing a few times. Worth the play for sure

Beatitas has a wonderfully exciting story that takes place in a fantastical world. It's battle system is simple to learn, but an important piece to strategy throughout the game. Great music, fun puzzles, and well-written story combine for an outstanding game experience. Explore many different worlds, fight your teacher, and see if you can escape the Beatitas.

Admittedly this genre is out of my wheelhouse and I still enjoyed this adventure with friends. BIG recommend if you're into JRPGs and a normal recommend in general!
