About This Game

Catlandia: Crisis at Fort Pawprint, is a 2D RPG featuring cats! The first game in the Catlandia world, players embark upon a short adventure to reveal and squash a canine threat to the peaceful Cat Kingdom.

Trout Lake is a vital component in the Cat Kingdom's fish supply lines. But rumours of dogs in the nearby Whisker Woods has forced the Cat Kingdom to establish the outpost of Fort Pawprint to investigate. You are Nugget, a brave Catmando stationed at the fort. Along with your sidekick Sausage, you are charged to sort this whole mess out.

  • Create a fully customizable cat by choosing colours, shapes, and patterns
  • Collect costume items to make your cat cuter — and unlock powerful techniques
  • Take your cat into battle against dogs, pigeons, and other fearsome creatures
  • Become friends with other cats of varying degrees of helpfulness!
  • Take on exciting quests!

Explore the Whisker Woods and defeat the dogs — for the glory of the Cat Kingdom!

Catlandia is developed by a small team of independent developers as a passion project. We love cats, and wanted to create an opportunity for you to be a cat yourself. We also think there's an audience for games you don't have to play forever — by design, we created Catlandia as an experience that can be picked up, enjoyed, and finished without a huge investment of time — yet allow it to fit within a larger narrative. We're excited to share this first peak into Catlandia with the Steam community.

This game frustrated me to the point that I had to refund it and write the first review that mentions the underlying issues, since It seems that every review so far focuses only on how cute the cats are. In combat, certain types of attack are more effective depending on the enemy. The way the game conveys this is by how much "wobbly" the enemy's health bar becomes while having an attack selected. So, when you click on one of your attacks, you have to wait for the game to cycle through every enemy one by one, wobbling their health bar for about 4 seconds per enemy. I rage-quit and refunded on my first three enemy fight, when I realized I had to select each of my three attacks and wait for the game to cycle through all enemies for each attack, in order for me to have complete information. I don't understand the decision to make the player wait by cycling the enemies one by one, instead of, for example, simply showing EVERY enemy's health bar wobliness at the same time when you select an...

I love cats. I don't like dogs as much. Therefore, this game is perfect for a crazy cat lady like me. Jokes aside, Catlandia is a cute, silly, comical lil game that I've really enjoyed playing so far. The combat system is surprisingly good and well thought out, I've been getting South Park: Stick of Truth and Pokemon vibes honestly, the story and characters are both amusing and likeable, and it's well worth the price. The artstyle, music and sound effects are all adorable, too. Would definitely recommend!

Had a lot of fun playing this! The characters and their unique communication styles really amp up the humor in this game. The conversations had me laughing pretty hard, and all of the outfits you can acquire are hilarious and entertaining. For the price, it's worth the 4-5 hour journey, especially if you want something that's fun, wacky, and not overly complicated or difficult. Recommended for something fun to play after work over the course of 1-3 days.

Genuinely a fun RPG! Exploring is fun and the writing is enjoyable. The UI is as good as Persona 5's.

Cats. We're cats. We're the cats. We prey at night, we stalk at night, we're the cats. I'm the giant cat that makes all the rules. Let's see what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into.

More satisfying than canned fish. Simple game play and witty-writing. This game is the cat's meow.
