Chapter 0: Prologue

Dive into a dark world by taking the role of Sam Whithers - a young detective and ex-assistant of the legendary Alan Sharp. Unfold events that happened before Alan's arrival at the crime scene and find out the horrible truth. On the way, besides the investigation which brought him to Beggers Hole, Sam will face the demons of his past. Will his own sanity stop him from realizing the terrible truth? Or will the unholy entity consume him in the abyss before he finds out the tale of the Regan family?

Get into the shoes of Alan Sharp, a private detective in the 1970s, retired and shattered due to the murder of a beloved one. A single call by an old friend takes Alan back on his track, leading you to a small town where a boy was butchered. The parents are missing, strange rumors spread among the folk talking of madness that consumed the father. Furthermore, others foretell of peculiar events and occurrences in the Regans’ home. Inspired by various psychological horror games and detective fiction, Alan Sharp takes the best elements of the horror games genre. Using uncertainty and fear of the unknown, above all, it provides a chilling atmosphere for the players to experience. As you investigate the mysterious murder, death lurks behind every corner. It lingers for a right moment to consume you in the dark and bury the truth of what happened to the Regan family.

Just going to kick this off with 10/10! I had so much fun playing this game, this is coming from a person who has played their fair share of horror games. This game has a story that will encourage too keep playing as you go along and each tiny step throughout the game will give you some more understanding of the whole picture without confusing you. Good old jumpscares to keep you on your toes for the rest of the game play and puzzles to make your brain grind a few gears. All in all, thoroughly enjoying playing every minute of this, and will definitely recommend this to all my friends who love horror as this is a "must-play-game" for anyone who enjoys a good horror/detective/story-driven game! Literally cannot wait for the next chapters to be released!

It's so sad that there is only chapter 0. I'm really hoping for the other three chapter, but it seems abandoned. Even though it's a great game. But buy it on sale.

I really liked this game although I am only an hour in. The puzzles were good and engaging even though I am the worst at them. The atmosphere of the game was scary and gave off a great horror feel. There are a few parts I didn't enjoy like how the character would talk as soon as you picked up a note as you were starting to read. I feel like that should have been after you had set it down. The rotating objects were a bit wonky as well. Overall though it doesn't take away much from the game and this gave me quite a few really good scares. I would definitely recommend a play through. pretty good effort for a 2 man team. managed to play the entire game at 60fps with no crashes. if you are into those "walking sim" style puzzle horrors then you will enjoy this game. Jump scares are mostly well done. there is no combat and one very small chase scene at the end. Only criticisms are the the guy who chases you at the end - he wasn't very smart or aggressive and in one instance he managed to grab me through a closed door, and the puzzles could have been more difficult.

The game is pure rubbish. The graphics look like a Playstation 2 game. The character models look like sh*t. BG music are bad. Sound effect sometimes pops up, sometimes does not. It does have a very strong and interesting story, but somehow poorly delivered. I was streaming this game for my weekly horror night, turns out to be comedy night. Avoid this game unless you are getting it for free, and let your cat play it instead.

This game was fantastic. I played it on stream and it has so many good things going for it! Great puzzles. Scary atmosphere. Effective jumpscares that are not overused and a really intriguing story. The fact this was made by 2 developers is incredible. You can really see the love they put into this project. This is a great horror game. Highly recommend. Wish the developers all the luck for the future of this game. Can’t wait for chapter 1

An impressive game in regards to puzzle and narrative crafting. I feel throughout playing the game, the puzzles were the highlight in trying to solve using various notes, and it sort of felt like an escape room scenario. Moreover, the prologue itself has given an impression, that the story will revolve more in the next coming chapter, which I am looking forward to it. As expected, during my playthrough I did experienced bugs in the game, however, there are not major which is forgiven. I would recommend to any players who wants to embark the old school puzzle in a horror setup, with a drive on investigating and building the narrative of the characters in the game. It was enjoyable and at the same time, showcasing the devs personality and thoughts into the game was ridiculously hilarious! Praises goes to the game devs! Well done!
