RECOMMENDED Ratings 7/10 (Excellent Story, Interesting Game Mechanics) Even for Eternia is an excellent RPG Maker game that I have enjoyed tremendously. I have spent the last 20 hours playing it, and want to write a review about it because there are only 3 user review of this rare gem. Well, let me start with the cons. There is only 1 for me, and that is that the character portraits are really plain. The portraits are not fancy enough to attract people to the game. It also gives the wrong impression that this is just a mediocre game because the portraits are just plain and simple --- not fancy enough. Now that we have listed my only cons, let me tell you about the pros, which are many. First, I loved the story. There is a lot of depth to the storyline, and this is just not a "hero save the world story". It's a story with a lot of dark and intense emotions: of people who are blinded by hatre, of people who are afraid of what they do not understand, and about people who are overwhelm...

No.
They may mock me, they may hate me, they may scorn me, they may burn me.
But I know at the end of the day, that I am stronger than them."

Even people who have no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that may cause these "photosensitive epileptic seizures" while watching video games.
These seizures may have a variety of symptoms. These include lightheadedness, altered vision, eye or face twitching, jerking, or shaking of arms and legs, disorientation, confusion, or momentary loss of awareness. Seizures may also cause loss of consciousness or convulsions that can lead to injury from falling down or striking nearby objects. IMMEDIATELY STOP PLAYING AND CONSULT A DOCTOR IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY OF THESE SYMPTOMS.
The risk of photosensitive epilepic seizures may be reduced by taking the following steps:
• Play in a well lit room.
• Do not play if you are drowsy or fatigued.
If you or any of your relatives have a history of seizures or epilepsy, consult a doctor before playing.
Even for Eternia is a great game with a solid story, interesting combat mechanics, and compelling characters. Well worth the time invested to experience this gem.
https://youtu.be/zg4iUmLvhxk https://youtu.be/Rdrm2Ayrros This review has been a long time coming. Mostly because I’ve been waiting for quite some time for this game to release officially. I’m proud of what Arin, the developer, has accomplished, and the ways he’s improved the game since I streamed it a while ago. That said, this may not be considered a wholly unbiased review. I’m going off of a copy of the game that I received before steam, and I’m friends with the developer, sooooo consider this your disclaimer. Even for Eternia follows the main character, Rubellum, or Ruby for short, as she goes from loner in the woods to being of immense power and potential darkness, an Umbra, who fights off others of her kind who’ve totally gone off the deep end. It’s a solid story that focuses on loss, mostly o...
So far this is a solid game. Once I get some more free time I want to delve deeper into it. Battles are well balanced. Great mapping, story is good, and has some cool features to it. But theres quite a bit of talkin, lol. I don't mind too much. I am just not one for the talking side of things! Other than that I haven't really ran into any bugs so far. So nice work!
I have played nearly 10 hours of this game, but I don't really know if I will go any further. This is purely a personal thing because I am losing patience with the interminable (and sometimes not very coherent) dialogue. Dialogue is obviously needed to push a story along but should be kept as succinct as possible. The occasional long exchanges are fine but I have got to the point where I am clicking through them as quickly as possible because every other discussion is a saga and most of the content is meaningless. The mapping, meanwhile, is beautiful. There are one or two little flaws (like the missing bottom corner of a window in the front of Rubellum's family home) but these do not detract from the overall visual delight of imaginatively laid out landscape and building interiors that do not have too many enormous, empty, rooms. The crafting is interesting, but the main problem I found is that you cannot tell who (if indeed any) of your party can equip something that you are ma...
I have about three hours in game and will edit this review when I complete the game. Positives: A very well made RPG Maker game. Gather and craft mechanics are well implemented. Character skills synergize with each other creating interesting debuff chain type combos and i'm interested to see how these mechanics are expanded upon over the course of the game. Progression is well-tempoed and there are no random encounters. Thusfar, the game itself also looks very good. Negatives: Some quality of life issues right now. When crafting you can't see who can equip a piece of gear. Minor mapping issues in puzzle rooms that can get you trapped. Don't save in them. A bit of homo erotic humor between characters. I only note this because it turns some people off - its implemented in a cute way and is not at all over the top. Overall I recommend it. If its does have 20+ hours of content I'd say the price point is right.
