About This Game

Apoapsis is a passion project developed in 18 days.

Traverse a large alien world and destroy aliens, bosses, collect items, and [soon to come, more things to do]. I would love to expand on Apoapsis to make it a more complete game, and polish it further. The pricing doesn't reflect the current game, but a larger game in mind.

This can be considered a 15 minute Metroidvania. It is designed so you can rush through it, yet why wouldn't you want to upgrade your health and stamina along the way? The graphics, coding, music and everything is all made by me, XPI Sigma Art.

What to expect: 4 hidden hp upgrades. 10 hidden stamina upgrades, 3 bosses

Known bugs:

-Collision issues while player gets hurt

-Monitors with a refresh rate over 60 makes game appear too fast (Fixed!)

-Game slowdown (displays 60fps, yet doesn't reflect it)

Two years ago — H-content will be there later. @ One year — Still thinking about new features. @ Somewhere later — "Jiggle animations; Suggestive artwork". No this is not an excuse to act like content is here, or it's coming soon. Yeah, it's cheap af, but as the game itself it generally not even close to be decent, whole sell-point was H-content promised to be later, and two years after it's still not here, dev is probably dead when it comes to any kind of communication. So no, it's not coming, don't buy this.

For 0'79 it's a pretty cool minivania, though it definitely lacks a lot of polish. I faced a lot of bugs and an achievement won't pop up, and I would be pretty mad if I paid 5 bucks, as it seems this game did a while ago, but for its price I can't say I wasn't entertained. A pity it seems like it won't receive more support, because if this was polished, refined and expanded we could have a pretty cool metroid-like in our hands.
